The Open Space Authority offers students, families, and community groups the chance to help protect open space while engaging with and learning from nature.
Volunteers learn leadership and teamwork skills. Our community programs offer healthy, safe activities that are ideal for teens. Please note that youth volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian when volunteering with the Authority.
The Land Stewards program is ideal for community groups and youth volunteers because scheduling is flexible and it does not require any special training or experience. Groups can volunteer for just a single day, or for multiple days on different projects. Your group can either join a regularly scheduled Land Steward activity or we can work with you to book a custom-scheduled volunteer project. Groups may request a specific date to ensure their entire team can participate.
